Following our announcement about Indonesian in July, we're happy to let
you know that AdSense for search is now available in another southeast
Asian language: Vietnamese. Vietnamese publishers can now offer users
Google search capabilities while generating revenue from ads on the
search results pages.As we've done in the past, we'd like to celebrate
this launch by providing you with a few fun facts about Vietnam:
- Vietnam is shaped like a narrow 'S'. Even though Vietnam is 1,650
kilometers (1,031 miles) from north to south, the country gets as
narrow as 50 kilometers (31 miles) across.
- Vietnamese is the seventh most spoken language in the United States
and sixth in Australia. According to the Ethnologue, Vietnamese is also
spoken by substantial numbers of people in Canada, China, Finland,
France, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, and the United
Kingdom.
- Vietnam is the world's second largest exporter of coffee and

end result is that advertisers get more engaged users, users have a
richer ad experience, and publishers opted in to image ads may see

supported in Mexico. Signing up for EFT to receive your future payments
directly in your bank account is simple. Just follow these steps to set
up your bank account -- you'll then need to verify a test deposit that
we'll place into your account. To learn more about EFT or the sign-up
process, please visit our Help Center. We'll continue to announce any
new country support for EFT or additional payments options here on the

We've learned through your feedback that some AdSense publishers are
concerned about potentially malicious behavior on the web, such as
having their ad code stolen, to be placed on an inappropriate site. To
give you more control and security concerning ad code, we've recently
launched the Allowed Sites list. The Allowed Sites list, which you'll
find by clicking the Allowed Sites link under your AdSense Setup tab,
is the place for you to list sites or URLs where you want to allow your
ads to appear. Sites that aren't on your list can still display ads
using your ad code; however, impressions and clicks for these sites
won't appear in your reports, advertisers won't be charged, and you
won't receive any earnings from them.Of course, it's entirely your
choice whether to use this Allowed Sites feature. If you don't want to
create an Allowed Sites list, there's no need to change the settings in
your account; it will automatically default to allow any site to show
ads. To create your Allowed Sites list today, visit your AdSense Setup
tab, click the Allowed Sites sub-tab, and choose the radio button for
Only allow certain sites to show ads for my account. You'll then be
able to enter allowed URLs for all your sites. Make sure to keep your
list up to date when you add your code to new sites, too. Psst...one
last thing! We'll be doing routine maintenance tomorrow, September 8th,
from 10am to 2pm PDT. As usual, your ads and earnings will keep
tracking during this time, but you won't be able to access your

A few months ago, I mentioned how e-commerce sites could use AdSense to
increase their overall revenues without changing their current business
models. Today Zlio.com has taken it to the next level by using the
AdSense API to allow their users to implement this strategy.The core
service of Zlio is to allow internet users to create and run their own
internet shops. After a quick registration process, users can pick from
millions of products and earn commission on every item bought from
their ZlioShops. Aside from choosing their products, future shopowners
can select from a few different templates to give their shops the look
and feel they want. Finally, these shopowners can add text to describe
the products and highlight their favorites.Today, as added
functionality, Zlio users can also add Google ads to their shops. Very
much like what we currently offer via Blogger, users can pick shop
templates that already include AdSense ad units without ever having to
dig into the HTML code of their shop. We hope that this new API will
help bring AdSense to existing Zlio users, and also that current
AdSense publishers will try Zlio as a way to increase their current
AdSense revenue.The screenshot above shows an example of a shop
offering scuba diving items -- you might notice that two AdSense ad
units and one link unit have been placed on the page. From a revenue
perspective, 60% of all the revenue generated from AdSense will go to
the shopowner.If you wish to create your own shop and associate it with
your current AdSense account, you can visit Zlio.com and follow these
steps:
- Select a general template for your shop.
- Create your own shop by choosing among the available products.
